I was elected as the first female representative for Franklin in 2007.

I entered politics because I deeply believe in quality education, decent health services and that fairness in the workplace should be available to everyone.

Throughout my career in politics, I have worked tirelessly to help improve the lives of others.

I have held numerous portfolios in both Government and Opposition.

I am currently the Minister for Housing, Minister for Homelessness and Minister for Small Business.

I live on Hobart’s Eastern Shore with my husband Ian and my three children.
