All children deserve the same opportunities for education and learning.
Sadly, we know there are families doing it tough right now, who may not be able to afford a monthly home internet bill.
This is why the Albanese Labor Government is offering free NBN connections to families with school children who need it most.
If eligible, your family can receive a voucher for a participating internet service provider (ISP) that will give you free NBN internet until the end of 2025.
To be eligible, a you must:
- Have a child living at home that is enrolled in an Australian school.
- Have no active broadband service over the NBN network, or not have had an active NBN service during the previous 14 days.
- Live in a premises where you can access a standard NBN service – including Fixed Wireless or Skymuster in more regional areas where fibre or copper connections are not available.
My office can assist you with taking some basic information, including name, address and phone number, and then if eligible, we can organise to have a voucher allocated to you.
The voucher is valid with any participating ISP (Aussie Broadband, Belong, Exetel, Launtel, Lemonade Broadband, SkyMesh, Superloop and TPG) and the choice is up to you. Importantly, any debts or previous contracts you may have had with an Internet Service Provider will have no bearing on your eligibility.
A router/modem will be provided to you as well by your chosen participating ISP to connect you to the NBN.
If you think you may be eligible, or you know someone who might be - please call my office on 6244 1222 and my staff can assist you.
